In response to heightened awareness of economic injustice and the devastating disproportionate effects of the COVID-19 crisis on the Black community, Oakland Black Business Fund (OBFF) provides capital and technical assistance to empower Black entrepreneurs to catalyze the revitalization of the local economy.
In collaboration with elected officials and local organizations, this comprehensive effort aims to deploy a multi-million dollar funding strategy to stabilize Oakland’s Black business ecosystem, providing critical infrastructure for future investment and growth, while paving the way for Black entrepreneurs to lead Oakland’s new economic paradigm.
Up to $5,000 available per business for repair, replacement and protection costs associated with protests in May and June of 2020. Please reach out if needs surpass $5,000. Funds will be distributed on a first come first served basis after application verification.
