CA | Northern California Grantmakers | Arts Loan Fund


The Arts Loan Fund provides low-interest loans to small Bay Area 501(c)3 non-profit organizations, or those who are fiscally sponsored by one, with an emphasis in art. Art Disciplines that qualify are: arts education, dance, folk and traditional arts, literary arts, media arts, multidisciplinary arts, museums, music, musical theater, opera, presenting arts, theater, and visual arts.

Loan funds can also be used to support a variety of projects such as festivals, parades, and film or video projects. The Arts Loan Fund is primarily targeted towards small to mid-sized organizations with budgets of $2M or less. This preference is particularly strong for COVID-19 emergency loans.

Counties that are eligible to apply include: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Monterey, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, and Sonoma Counties.

Loan applications are being accepted on a rolling basis.
